Abstract
Phraseology of emotion: Cognitive contrastive analysis of German and Spanish constructional idioms. In this paper we carry out a corpus-based cognitive-contrastive analysis of phrasal constructions expressing emotions intensely. For this purpose, constructional idioms of the type [V +de miedo/ V +de alegría/ V +de rabia/ V +de tristeza] will be analysed based on their syntagmatic linguistic behaviour (verb selection), a contrastive cognitive study of conceptual metaphors will be carried out using instances such as estallar de ira, saltar de alegría, morirse de miedo, etc., and their equivalents in German.
