Abstract
A partir de la Teoría Humanista de Abraham H. Maslow analizaremos la aplicación del enfoque humanista en el aula de idiomas. En la segunda parte de nuestro trabajo, centraremos la atención en el panorama actual italiano partiendo de la figura de Umberto Eco como referente internacional del humanismo académico. Eco insistió en la necesidad imperiosa de construir una Europa más humanista y señaló que el trabajo debía empezar en las aulas. -----------------------
From the humanist theory of Abraham H. Maslow we will analyze the application of the humanist approach in the language classroom. In the second part of our work we will focus the attention on the current Italian panorama from the figure of Umberto Eco as an international reference of academic Humanism. Eco insisted on the imperative need to build a more humanist Europe and he pointed out that work should begin at school.
