“Cette etrangère que je suis” : immigration, plurilinguisme et contestation (Copi, Nella Nobili).

The Argentinian Copi and the Italian Nella Nobili both immigrated to France and to the French language. But if a large part of their work was written in this foreign language, their mother tongue and other languages, far from disappearing, fuel these writers’ creativity, in a hidden but also in a visible way. The text’s literary plurilingualism is one of the reasons why such works remained in the margins of French literature, a phenomenon that was accentuated by the fact that Copi and Nobili, as foreigners, wrote about marginalization. Minor and on the margins, their works express political and aesthetic protest.

Entre les langues ou la question du plurilinguisme littéraire.

The main aim of this article is to explore the notion of literary plurilingualism through the experience of French-speaking writers. The way this discursive methodology works in an enunciative and narratological framework reveals the how these writers relate to the different languages that are featured within their texts. We provide a context to this literary plurilingualism among a range of authors to understand its different dimensions and functions. Our approach aims to prove that it contributes to a close relationship between language(s) and literature, and also to compelling one between the languages themselves. Finally, we consider linguistic and textual issues by addressing topics related to miscegenation, hybridism and alterity, as well as heterolingualism, literary and textual diglossia, and contrastive heteroglossia.

Le roman marocain francophone et l'alternance codique.

French-speaking Moroccan literature is open to linguistic infuences that recall its birth but also its essence. If it is true that French gives her her linguistic argan, the fact remains that she is also turned towards her origins which provide her with food for thought. In this sense, Arabic, classical or dialectal, Berber, borrowings from languages in contact with local dialects make this writing a tower of Babel, high in languages. There are many ways of inserting his infuences. Our text will try to study them by bringing out the different interconnections between French and the other languages in contact, mainly the Moroccan dialect and the lexicalized French borrowings.

Désintégration d’Emmanuelle Richard : un exemple d’itinéraire transclasse dans l’extrême contemporain.

The main objective of this article is to illustrate the importance that the transclass itinerary acquires in the extrême contemporain autofctional literature through the analysis of the fourth novel by Emmanuelle Richard. The study of the theoretical context of this neologism created by the French philosopher Chantal Jaquet will allow us to refect on population mobility from a neutral perspective that allows us to think, in turn, about the construction of more inclusive, more supportive and more sustainable societies. In this context, the use of autofctional writing becomes a narrative technique that reveals a change in the aesthetic-literary paradigm that allows to expose the most pressing problems that concern modern societies

Escritura translingüe en el Caribe colombiano: Los cristales de la sal (2019) de Cristina Bendek.

This article examines Los cristales de la sal (2019), the frst novel by the Colombian author Cristina Bendek, and explores its relation within the Colombian national literary canon. Through the analysis of its translingual and transnational narrative strategies, this article identifes a trans-Caribbean poetics in the novel that redefne the contours of Colombian literature while creating intertextual ties and relations with Caribbean literatures. The article concludes with a dicussion of the ecological as well as the literary function of the translingual and transnational strategies at play, and the stakes of the novel’s trans-Caribbean poetics for the natural, literary and human ecologies of the region.

La vida y la muerte en "Del amor y otros demonios" de Gabriel García Márquez.

In this paper, I propose the analysis of Del amor y otros demonios by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The protagonists’ mistakes and misunderstandings lead to feelings of love and to fear of death. Their emotional states and actions are seen as manifestations of irony and humor that have been analyzed during centuries by Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Cicero, Quintilian, Baudelaire, Bergson and Booth, among others. The clashes between life and death take place in the protagonists’ minds and lives. Their mental and real worlds are connected by the ties of irony and humor.

“Nunca o imos conseguir”: Representacións da resistencia antifranquista nas narrativas de Luís Rei Núñez e Carlos G. Reigosa.

Anti-Francoist resistance is one of the most common topics in the Galician novels of the 21st century. This article aims to examine two of the most representative books of this corpus: Expediente Artieda (2000) by Luís Rei Núñez and A vitoria do perdedor (2013) by Carlos G. Reigosa. The interpretation of the texts is based on the theoretical and methodological proposals of Cultural Memory Studies with the aim of analysing the representations that both offer of the opposition to Franco’s regime, which are marked by the idea of defeat. In addition, the work focuses on some particular aspects, such as the construction of the characters, in order to show what is the ethical-political form of memory that each of the authors chooses in the fctionalisation of the collective traumatic past.

In Harrouda of Tahar Ben Jelloun, the rewriting of oneself in the other is intended as a form of self-apprehension. By placing himself between two codes, different from each other by their respective referents, Ben Jelloun digs a distance from the collective ego and tries to appropriate an equivalent self that is not grounded in the community culture. Aware that the test of otherness accomplished in the signs and referents specifc to the mortgaged language can dig another gap in the being, Ben Jelloun in no way slows down the effort to remain himself by negotiating the acquisition of a new identity outside the roots where his people have forged their being.

Il discorso sulla pandemia del covid19 nella stampa italiana.

For over two years the lives of many people have changed signifcantly, the way they spend time, work and communicate has undergone major changes. The pandemic situation has also greatly infuenced the way we perceive the world, our behavior, choices and priorities. In many languages, including Italian, new words and phrases concerning the context of the coronavirus pandemic have appeared more and more frequent. The purpose of this work is to analyze the way in which reality infuences language, particularly the metaphoricity of the covid19-pandemic and its refection in language. The corpus of analysis will consist of journalistic articles and texts published mostly on the Internet, in portals and online magazines, which report current news on Italy and the world.

Les langues : carte(s) d’identité plurielle. L’écriture autobiographique de Rosie Pinhas-Delpuech, entre traumatismes historiques et enjeux linguistiques.

Languages defne the identity of “Human” because they convey a culture and its corollary, History. When, sometimes, the History of nations carries trauma, humans end up resembling their History, the stories told within traumatized families. Wars, exiles, and migrations make diasporas communities open to the Other for the sake of social integration, or else they become completely hermetic since the fear of losing the cultural foundations in these new spaces of adoption is greater than the desire to blend into the host societies. Life stories can be receptacles for family histories because they are inscribed in history. This article will treat the autobiographical text of Rosie Pinhas-Delpuech which recalls the family languages that had been learned by her father or her mother or at school. These languages emerged mainly because of the individual paths taken by family factions. These languages are present in the autobiographical narrative and relate to events experienced in Europe during and after the Second World War, or sometimes even during the period of the Inquisition.
