Abstract
La escritora nonagenaria Edith Bruck narra en su última novela, Il pane perduto, cómo el horror vivido en Auschwitz, los sufrimientos y las humillaciones no pudieron borrar su dignidad humana. Ella, a diferencia de tantos otros supervivientes, dice un rotundo no al odio. Bruck, húngara y judía, encuentra en la lengua italiana la tabla de salvación. El idioma aprendido le otorga la distancia necesaria para descubrir el poder de la resiliencia y el perdón. En este trabajo analizaremos los términos léxicos y semánticos de la reconciliación y la influencia sanadora de los mismos en la vida y la obra de Edith Bruck. -----------------------
The nonagenarian writer Edith Bruck narrates in her latest novel Il pane perduto how the horror, suffering and humiliation experienced in Auschwitz, did not manage to erase her human dignity. Unlike so many other survivors, she says a resounding no to hate. Bruck, Hungarian and Jewish, finds the lifeline in the Italian language. The learned language gives her the distance required to discover the power of resilience and forgiveness. In this paper, we will analyze the lexical and semantic terms of reconciliation and their healing influence on the life and work of Edith Bruck.
