Description
Abstract
Abstract: In the early nineties, different authors began studying the question of identity in connection with spatial issues like architecture, the urban structuring of cities, or the division between public and private spheres. Foucault’s lecture about “heterotopies” (1966) is a clear precedent of these studies. Later, at the end of nineties, a new concept sprung up: queer space. This concept, works as an alternative to the western model of the modernist city, which is based on the rationality and functionality. It proposes spaces where freer lives and relationships can be obtained
