El cine italiano fue el primero y el que con más calidad
reflexionó sobre su pasado fascista. La industria bajo la
dictadura de Mussolini creo un cine propagandístico; con la
posguerra llegó el neorrealismo, y finalmente con el mayo del
68 jóvenes directores volvieron a reflexionar sobre el pasado
político de su país.

The industry under Mussolini's dictatorship created a propaganda cinema, with the post-war period came neorealism and finally with May 68 young directors returned to reflect about the political past in their country.
