Abstract
El artículo toma como punto de partida el creciente uso de
redes sociales virtuales (en particular Facebook). en la medi-
da que tales redes son parte de la cotidianeidad, entender
la educación sin ellas es una forma de entender la educa-
ción lejos de la realidad. en este marco, el artículo presenta
y describe dos experiencias que usaron el entorno de Face-
book en contextos educativos. una de las ellas propuso a
Facebook como entorno para el trabajo en pequeños gru-
pos; la otra propuso a la red social como espacio de en-
cuentro y de intercambio de experiencias, sentimientos y
emociones entre ingresantes universitarios
The starting point of this article is the increasing use of virtual social networks (especially Facebook). considering that this kind of networks are part of everyday life, understanding education without them is a way of understanding education as disconnected from reality. in this framework, this paper presents and describes two experiences that used the Facebook environment in educational contexts. one of these experiences suggested Facebook as an environment for small group work; the other one, proposed this social network as a place of encounter and exchange of experiences, feelings and emotions among university freshmen
