Abstract
El trabajo que a continuación presentamos, tiene la pretensión de poner de manifiesto una de las
temáticas que se mantienen como emergentes en el comienzo del siglo XXI: el sexismo. Pensamos que
uno de los factores principales que motivan la diferenciación en razón de género es el uso del lenguaje.
Mujeres y varones muestran dos universos lingüístico-comunicativos completamente distintos a través de
sus acciones.
En el texto queremos exponer la relación que se establece entre la competencia comunicativa que
las personas adquieren y la conformación de su identidad de género. Sin duda que ello repercute en la
enseñanza y hay que instar al profesorado a que, tanto en su formación inicial como permanente, se conciencie de la importancia de educar en la igualdad comunicativa para así generar procesos igualitarios en
los demás ámbitos vitales.
The work we present here has the intention of treating one of the themes that are emerging at the start of the 21 century: the gender gap. We think one of the principal elements causing the gender gap situation is the use of language. Through their actions, women and men show two completely different communicative universes. In the text it ́s our intention to expound the relation between the person’s communicative competence and their gender identity conformation. Without doubt it has repercussions in teaching; so it is necessary to encourage teachers, in their initial and permanent training, to be aware of the importance of teaching communicative equality to generate new equalitarian processes in other fields of life.
