Description
Abstract
Abstract: Green areas in cities are important because they provide multiple services, including ecological, social, cultural and economic benefits, which support the quality of life of their inhabitants. This work aims to characterize users, the way they interact with green spaces (GS), how they perceive them and what proposals they offer to enrich them. A semi-structured survey was applied, using the online platform SurveyMonkey, with open and closed questions, reaching a sample of n=384, using the non-probabilistic technique called snowball, in parks, squares and plazas in the southern part of the city. Demographic and accessibility variables were analyzed, as well as company and activities carried out in them, reasons for their preference, perception variables considering the things they like or dislike and proposals to improve their use. The responses to the open consultations were categorized according to the various suggested aspects. The results achieved aim to provide precise guidelines to public agents for future decisions based on concrete knowledge of the needs expressed by citizens.
