Abstract
Este estudio examina la representación gráfica de las interjecciones de alivio en cómics en español y francés, con especial atención a su estructura fonético-fonológica y su variación interlingüística. A partir de un corpus ad hoc de 72 cómics, se analiza la forma de las interjecciones primarias y secundarias y se identifican patrones recurrentes en cada idioma. Los resultados muestran que las interjecciones primarias presentan una configuración fonética prototípica con sonidos vocálicos como /a/, /ju/ y /u/ y consonánticos como /f/ y /h/. Las interjecciones secundarias reflejan construcciones gramaticalizadas relacionadas con el ámbito religioso y el agradecimiento. Además, se observa una preferencia por efectos sonoros descriptivos para los suspiros en lugar de onomatopéyicos. Estos hallazgos refuerzan la importancia del cómic como medio multimodal para el estudio de la expresión emocional y la variación lingüística de las interjecciones.
Abstract: This study examines the graphic representation of relief interjections in comics in Spanish and French, focusing on their phonetic-phonological structure and crosslinguistic variation. Based on an ad hoc corpus of 72 comics, the study analyzes the forms of primary and secondary interjections, identifying recurring patterns in each language. The results indicate that primary interjections exhibit a prototypical phonetic configuration, with vowel sounds such as /a/, /ju/, and /u/, and consonantal sounds such as /f/ and /h/. Secondary interjections reflect grammaticalized constructions related to religious expressions and gratitude. Additionally, a preference for descriptive sound effects over onomatopoeic representations for sighs is observed. These findings underscore the importance of comics as a multimodal medium for studying emotional expression and linguistic variation in interjections.
