dc.description.abstract	En la obra de André Gide, la idea de libertad se impone con fuerza al lector atento, pues en ella se desvela el anhelo constante del escritor. En especial, en sus primeros relatos, que manifiestan una conquista progresiva de autonomía y dan paso a la expresión del verdadero yo del autor. A lo largo de este estudio, analizaremos la expresión de la libertad en las obras de juventud de André Gide : Les Cahiers d´André Walter (1890), Le Voyage d´Urien (1892), La Tentative amoureuse (1893) y finalmente Paludes (1894), poniéndolas en perspectiva con la influencia ejercida por su entorno familiar, su educación protestante y burguesa, así como la influencia ejercida por el simbolismo y la estética « fin de siglo », pues ninguna obra ha sido tan íntimamente motivada como la suya. El análisis de la obra en situación nos permitirá percibir mejor su originalidad. Palabras clave: André Gide; juventud; protestantismo; burguesía; simbolismo; libertad; originalidad. In the work of André Gide, the idea of freedom become established powerfully to the attentive reader, for in it is revealed the writer's constant yearning. Especially in his early stories, which show a progressive conquest of autonomy and give way to the expression of the true self of the author. Throughout this study, we analyze the expression of freedom in the early works of André Gide: Les Cahiers d'André Walter (1890), Le Voyage d'Urien (1892), The Tentative amoureuse (1893) and finally Paludes (1894), putting them in perspective with the influence of the family environment, his bourgeois and Protestant education, and the influence exerted by the symbolism and aesthetics "fin de siècle", because no work has been so closely reasoned like his.
