The integration of Information and communication technologies (ICT) requires the teachers to be competent, both technologically and pedagogically. In this work, the competences in ICT of teachers are studied, in particular the relationship between the technological competences and the pedagogical competences. For it, it has been used a survey design and a sample, randomly selected, of the non university teachers of the Comunidad Valenciana, to those that have been applied a questionnaire. It has found a significant relationship between technological competences and pedagogical competences in the sense that the former represent both a base as a facilitator of the latter. This means that the teachers must know the TIC to integrate them in their daily practice. However, both the relationship and its structure should not be simplified.

The European Higher Education Area is promoting the adoption of dynamic and participative educational methodologies that could increase student’s practical implication. In this sense, the use of audio files from virtual audio-libraries from radio stations, particularly, audio files from specialized business&economics information programs are really useful. These programs have been designed with a “broadcasting orientation” that could get student’s better knowledge of theoretical contents, motivate them and increase their interest in updated information, promoting TIC and Internet use. The didactical and motivational results of an experience with Business Management students shows that this methodology could be suitable. The use of these files is considered quite interesting as a vehicle to transmit updated news and an invitation to student’s critical reflection and discussion. In addition to that, the results of the experience are showing that the use of this methodology satisfy students and meet their expectations. The simplicity of the tools used, that could be found in all Spanish faculties, and the free, open and public access to the audio files in the Internet, invite professors to use this methodology not only in academic programs in business, but with any academic program.

This study reports the effect of an educational intervention based on the understanding of emotions and beliefs in students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The research was conducted on seven pupils of Primary Education and five of Secondary Education. A unique group, pre-test and post-test, design was employed. To collect information, didactic materials were elaborated. For the assessment of effect of this teaching on the social daily skills, interviews with teachers were administered. The results showed statistically significant differences between levels of understanding of emotions and beliefs before and after the educational intervention and interviews we report positive effects in daily social skills. These results suggest that the process of educational intervention carried out on the basis of the education of the understanding of emotions and beliefs can produce positive effects in the social skills.

This paper presents a piece of research on oral history of the Spanish education system under the Franco Regime, in which students and Senior Citizens participated by explaining their life experiences. The methodology employed was fundamentally qualitative in nature based on semi-structured interviews and a subsequent content analysis. The results from the interviews gave us hints and knowledge of our immediate past and its educational protocols and circumstances. We also learnt about the difficult conditions and biased educational materials and distressing teaching methods used at the time, mainly as a result of our Civil War and its consequences. Voluntary participation in this research study increased student motivation to learn and improved cross-generational relationships.
