Fisuras y esperanzas. Los colectivos artísticos en Guatemala a partir de la firma de la paz.
(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones., 2024) García von Hoegen, Magda Angélica
The signing of the Peace Agreements in Guatemala was an historical milestone that represented a new social, political, economic and cultural era. Almost 30 years later, little has been reflected about the impact that this event had on the country’s artistic sectors and on the development of cultural movements. From the perspectives of cultural assemblage, microhistory and oral history, this work aims to analyze the processes of referent groups in diverse performing arts, their challenges of permanence, strengths and tensions in connection with substantive social dimensions. Likewise, study the conductive thread with future artists generations. It is concluded that there are artistic movements in Guatemala, whose legacy and impact on public spaces, are consolidated in fundamental contributions in national and international cultural, social and political spheres.

Liberación cultural y revolución social en los frentes de liberación homosexual en México durante la larga década de los 60.
(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones., 2024) Blasco Lisa, Sandra
This article rescues a utopian, revolutionary and intersectional component that characterized the Mexican sexual liberation movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The objective is to understand the union between cultural/material demands with the firm will to generate a cultural hegemony in the social base. This recovery of lost experiences and meanings of the past can serve to think about how the word revolution and the integral politics of social emancipation have evolved in Mexico up to the present day.

Una aproximación integral al origen del champán en el Río Magdalena (Siglos XVI-XIX).
(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones., 2024) Nieva Sanz, Daniel Miguel
The connection between the interior of the New Kingdom of Granada and the ports of the Caribbean coast, as well as its link with the Crown since the mid-16th century, was possible through a navigation system supported by river boats that covered the navigable course of the Magdalena River. The definition of these nautical gadgets, beyond the established denomination, requires the assessment of the conceptual, morphological and functional aspects of these champanes, which played a strategic role for at least three centuries. In this way, the present application of a historiographical methodology with a nautical perspective on primary, manuscript and edited sources, as well as a comprehensive analysis, has allowed greater precision in the definition of champan and its role in one of the most relevant communication routes of Hispanic America throughout the Modern Age.
