Abstract
Mazatlán es uno de los polos de desarrollo turístico más importantes de sol y playa en México. El objetivo principal del presente estudio es evaluar la satisfacción del turista por su visita en el sitio. La metodología utilizada es de tipo cuantitativa y transversal en la que se aplicó una encuesta a 682 turistas con el fin de calcular el Índice de Satisfacción del Turista (IST). La encuesta se compone de un apartado sobre el perfil del turista y otro sobre la evaluación de los servicios y actividades contratadas por el turista. Los hallazgos revelan que el IST general obtenido de Mazatlán es de 9.0, categorizado como nivel medio alto. Entre los servicios y actividades evaluadas, el ITS para alimentos y bebidas fue de 9.0, actividades recreativas y de esparcimiento fue de 8.8, hospedaje fue de 8.5, transporte y actividades culturales fue de 8.0
Mazatlán is one of the most important sun and beach tourist development centers in Mexico. The main objective of this study is to evaluate tourist satisfaction with their visit to the site. The methodology used is quantitative and cross section in which a survey was applied to 682 tourists to calculate the Tourist Satisfaction Index (TSI). The survey consists of a section on the tourist profile and another on the evaluation of the services and activities contracted by the tourist. The findings reveal that t he general TSI obtained from Mazatlán is 9.0, categorized as a medium -high level. Among the services and activities evaluated, the TSI for food and beverages was 9.0, recreational and leisure activities was 8.8, accommodation was 8.5, transportation and cultural activities was 8.0.
