Abstract
El texto es el epílogo escrito para el libro Quand les femmes témoignent: histoire orale, histoire des femmes, mémoire des femmes dirigido por Geneviéve Dermenjian y Françoise Thébaud. En él se recogen las ponencias presentadas a una conferencia celebrada en Aviñón sobre la historia de las mujeres. El epílogo subraya la consolidación de las fuentes orales durante la última década, y la riqueza de las diversas aproximaciones metodológicas como la comparación de fuentes orales y escritas, la utilización complementaria de la estadística y las raíces comunes en diversos países que hicieron surgieran con fuerza las fuentes orales en cuanto fue posible grabar las voces. La crítica tal vez mayor que se hace a las ponencias editadas es la ausencia en algunas de ellas de un análisis más detenido de lo que se ha recogido oralmente.
The text is the epilogue of the book Quand les femmes témoignent: histoire orale, histoire des femmes, mémoire des femmes edited by Geneviéve Dermenjian and Françoise Thébaud. The book is the collection of papers presented at a Conference held in Avignon with the theme «Women's History». The epilogue stresses the consolidation of the oral sources during the last decade and the richness of the different methodological approaches, like the comparison between oral and written sources, the complementary use of statistics and the common roots in different countries that allowed the emergence of oral sources once it was possible to record the human voices. May be the strongest criticism is reserved to some papers that do not go deep enourgh in the analysis of what has been collected orally.
