dc.description.abstractL'iscrizione di Dreros, pubblicata da H. van Effenterre nel 1937, rimane uno degli enigmi collegati alla presenza della cosiddetta lingua eteocretese. Partendo dalle intuizioni di C.H. Gordon, si tenta di verificare se il testo nasconda una bilingue scritta in greco e in eteocretese, quest'ultima lingua semitica nordoccidentale. Al termine della nostra analisi nuove letture e interpretazioni permettono di rintracciare nell'iscrizione una vera e propria bilingue, redatta da un lapicida che riportava un testo semitico accanto alla corrispettiva versione ellenica.es
dc.description.abstractThe inscription of Dreros, for the first time published by H. van Effenterre in 1937, is one of the riddles associated witht the presence of the so called Eteocretan Language. Paying particular attention to the intuition of C.H. Gordon, this work sets out to investigate if the inscription conceals a bilingual text written in Greek and Eteocretan. Above all, the aim of this study is to examine the Eteocretan as a North-West Semitic Language. At the end of the research, new readings and interpretations allow to find in the inscription a true bilingual text, written by a stone-cutter who recorded a Semitic text b eside the corresponding Greek version.es
