Abstract
Este trabajo tiene como objeto mostrar si existe o no correspondencia
entre las marcas diatópicas que encontramos en el
Diccionario de la lengua
española
de la RAE, y las áreas de uso que se extraen de los atlas
lingüísticos espa
ñoles, a partir de la comparación sistemática de una serie
de mapas lingüísticos seleccionados, con las correspondientes entradas
del
Diccionario.
El estudio de cada una de las unidades léxicas del diccionario y su
cotejo con los atlas lingüísticos nos apo
rtan una valiosa información sobre la
situación geográfica de cada caso concreto y nos permiten confirmar,
corregir, eliminar o matizar, en relación con las fuentes utilizadas, las
marcas empleadas en él.
Asimismo, de este cotejo podemos deducir toda una
serie de
problemas o dificultades que se generan a la hora de marcar correctamente
un vocablo dialectal en una obra lexicográfica, de ahí que una parte
importante de este trabajo se centre también en ello.
Como resultado de todo este estudio, de la relació
n de tipos de
concordancia y falta de ellos, y de la sistematización de problemas
deducidos de la marcación diatópica en el
Diccionario
, veremos cómo el
empleo de los atlas lingüísticos resulta un auxilio esencial y necesario para
marcar las áreas geográfi
cas en el diccionario académico
This work aims to show whether there is or not correspondence between the diatop ics marks found in the Dictionary of the Spanish language of the Royal Spanish Academy, and the areas of use drawn from the Spanish linguistic atlas, from the systematic comparison of a number of selected linguistic maps with corresponding dictionary entri es. The study of each of the lexical units of the dictionary and examination of linguistic atlases provide us with valuable information regarding the geographical location of each case and they also allows us to confirm, amend, delete or qualify, the marks used on it, in relation to the sources used . In addition, from this comparison we can deduce a number of problems or difficulties that are generated at the time of marking a dialectal word properly in a lexicographical work, hence an important part of thi s work will also focus on it. As a result of this study, and of the relation of match types and lack thereof, and the systematization of problems deducted from diatopical marking in the dictionary, we will see how the use of linguistic atlas is an essentia l and necessary assistance to mark geographical areas in academic dictionary.
