Abstract
A partir de un análisis cualitativo de algunas vidas lingüísticas de hablantes de entre 20 y 24 años de edad, nacidos en Cataluña, cuya lengua primera es el castellano, en este estudio descriptivo se expone la situación actual de lo que acontece en la comunidad lingüística catalana sobre la tendencia general ante la selección lingüística de la lengua española en la variedad funcional de la conversación.
From a qualitative analysis of some linguistic lives of speakers betwe en 20 and 24 years of age, born in Catalonia, whose first language is Spanish, this descriptive study exposes the current situation of what happens in the Catalan linguistic community on the general tendency towards the linguistic selection of the Spanish language in the functional variety of the conversation.
