Abstract
Julio Cortázar hizo de la poesía una de las pasiones de su vida. En la creación poética encontró las formas de buscar al hombre total y el sentido de la existencia. A pesar del injustificado olvido al que está abocado su poesía, en su obra poética encontramos al Julio Cortázar más libre, más original y más crítico. Por otro lado, la evolución de su poesía lo convierte en testigo de excepción de los diversos dominios y ámbitos por que fue decantándose la poesía del siglo XX, desde los restos del simbolismo mallarmeano de Presencia al surrealismo, el existencialismo, los libros caleidoscópicos y la poesía de crítica social. Además, el lenguaje se muestra como objeto de conocimiento y vehículo de expresión de las ideas más modernas y más críticas.Julio Cortázar had the poetry as one of the passions of his life. In the poetic creativity he found out the ways of looking for the total man and the meaning of existence. Although the non-justified forgetfulness in which his poetry is immersed, in his poetic works we find the most free and original and critical Cortázar. In the other hand, his poetry evolution makes him an exceptional witness of the different domains and ambits the XXth century poetry covered, from the last mallarmean Simbolism in Presencia to the Surrealism, the Existencialism, the caleidoscopical books and the social poetry. Furthermore, the language is shown as an object of knowledge and way of expression for the most modern and critical ideas.
