Abstract
En este artículo se narra en primera persona la experiencia de la emigración murciana a
Asturias durante los años cincuenta y sesenta del siglo XX. Se relatan las vivencias del emigrante: el
viaje en tren, la casa en alquiler con derecho a cocina, la convivencia entre locales y foráneos, la com-
pra de la primera vivienda en propiedad, la escuela, la calle, el instituto, etc. El barrio de La Luz de
Avilés, construido como vivienda de los trabajadores de la industria, es el otro protagonista de este
trabajo.
This article narrates in the first person the experience of emigration from Murcia to Asturias in the fifties and sixties. The experiences of the emigrants are reported: the train ride, the rental house with cooking facilities, the coexistence between locals and newcomers, the purchase of their first own home, the school, the streets, the secondary school, etc. The neighbourhood of La Luz in Avilés, built as housing for industrial workers, is the other protagonist of this work.
