Description
Abstract
The documents provide explanations and exercises for understanding and practicing with two well-known hardware attacks in an online environment. The first set focuses on side-channel analysis, overviewing the textbook attacks based on plain, differential, and correlation-based power analysis attacks. The student will work in the latest phases of the attack, starting from existing sets of traces and implementing and comparing the attacks. The second set focuses on fault injection attacks and countermeasures. Students will work with the FiSim software for simulation of faults, and implement various software countermeasures analyzing the results.
