Description
Abstract
This paper posits a reading of The Trial by Franz Kafka based on the analytics of power performed by Michel Foucault in Discipline and Punish. From this perspective, the novel is read as a fictional document which accounts for hat realizes the ontological mutation that goes from the tortured body to the corrected soul or as transition between the sovereign power of the Ancien Régime that does not hide its direct exercise on the body and a new reforming power that seeks to increase its efficiency by applying a corrective to the spirit taking as a starting point a detailed and individualizing control over the body.
