Abstract
Partiendo del decisivo papel que juegan los profesores en la puesta en práctica de
cualquier cambio en educación, nos interesamos por el modo en que los profesores de
EGB de la provincia de Sevilla se posicionan en relación a la aplicación de la reforma
educativa. Las opiniones, sentimientos, actitudes, expectativas, conductas, etc. de
diferentes colectivos de profesores quedan reflejados en discursos obtenidos mediante
la técnica de los grupos de discusión. La codificación de los discursos abre paso al
recuento de frecuencias, el cálculo de distancias entre los discursos y el empleo del
escalamiento multidimensional no métrico. El impacto de la reforma sobre cada
sector del profesorado, es decir, las consecuencias que para ellos se derivan de su
aplicación, constituye la dimensión respecto a la cual se ordenan los discursos analizados.
El artículo finaliza con una valoración de la aplicación del escalamiento
multidimensional a datos cualitativos como los manejados en este caso.
Taking into acount the crucial role that teachers play in the implementation of any educational change, we are interested in the way in which Primary School teachers from the province of Seville think about the application of the educational reformo The opinions, feelings, attitudes, expectations, behaviours, etc. of differente groups of teachers are expressed in the discourses obtained through the focus group technique. The discourses codification let us count the frequencies, ca1culate the distance between the discourses, and use the non-metric multidimensional scaling. The impact of this reform on each. sector of teachers, that is, the consequences that they can derive from its application constitute the respective dimension to which the anaIyzed discourses are ordered. This paper conc1udes with an assesment of the application of the multidimensional scaling technique to qualitative data as the ones used in this case.
