Description
Abstract
This article addresses the question of why traditional universities in Latin America would be interested in developing distance learning. The article argues that these universities are willing to take advantage of the ICTs and interested in distance learning through GDLN because of its global outreach, the possibility of internationalizing their academics programs as well as enriching the courses and activities they offer to their face to face students
