Abstract
El discurso ecológico, contrariamente a la posición marginal de
años atrás, es actualmente punta de lanza del debate político
y económico. Sus argumentos priorizan la sostenibilidad,
la preservación y la recuperación del medio ambiente en
contraposición al discurso tecnocientífico que sigue confiando en
el progreso ilimitado.
El artista, como creador o manipulador de vida, abre una de
las polémicas más interesantes en torno a la convergencia
entre arte y ciencia, proponiendo proyectos que transforman la
geografía urbana y los comportamientos humanos a partir de la
reformulación de la naturaleza.
La colaboración con científicos, como parte esencial del trabajo,
es representativa del arte de hoy. Esta nueva forma de proceder
implica un cambio sustancial en la manera tradicional de intervenir
en la Naturaleza.
ABSTRACT: The ecological discourse, contrary to the marginal position of years ago, is currently spearheading the political and economic debate. His arguments prioritize sustainability, preservation and restoration of the environment as opposed to technoscientific discourse remains confident in unlimited progress. The artist, as a creator or manipulator of life, opens one of the more interesting controversies around the convergence of art and science, proposing projects that transform the urban geography and human behavior from the reformulation of nature. Collaboration with scientists, as an essential part of the work is representative of the art today. This new way of proceeding involves a substantial change in the traditional way of intervening in nature.
