Abstract
La literatura muestra numerosos estudios de casos que evidencian el arteterapia como
un medio con grandes posibilidades terapéuticas. Su carácter multidisciplinar y su efecto
integrador permite extender su uso a todo tipo de población: niños, adolescentes, adultos,
ancianos, con cualquier tipo de problemática o patología, así como a cualquier individuo con
deseos de crecimiento personal.
Por otra parte, uno de los grandes retos de la Museología del S.XXI es la atención e integración
de los sectores sociales más desfavorecidos y desvinculados con los museos.
Por lo tanto, los intercambios entre los profesionales de ambas disciplinas pueden enriquecer
enormemente su práctica. La reciprocidad entre Arteterapia y Museología posibilita ampliar
el campo de la investigación e innovación con la creación de nuevas técnicas y enfoques
metodológicos que impliquen la colaboración de un público más amplio y una mejora social
a través del arte.
ABSTRACT: Art Therapy is a science which provides a great deal of therapeutic possibilities. Literature often shows many examples of how useful Art Therapy might be to heal and improve the lives of all kind of population: Children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly people with any kind of disability or pathology and also any individual who wish to grow in a personal level. This is possible due to the multidisciplinary and integrative nature of Art Therapy. On the other hand, one the greatest challenges that nowadays museums and Art galleries face is to integrate and provide with attention to all the marginal sectors which are not interested, nor involved with museums. Therefore the interaction between Art Therapy and Museology might be very useful and enrich enormously both fields. The exchange of information and experience between the professionals of both fields can be crucial to innovate and expand the research of new technologies and methodological approaches which could involve the collaboration of a broader public and social improvement through art.
