dc.description.abstract	Nuestro estudio se centra en la situación del derecho francés en el mercado jurídico europeo. En primer lugar, destacamos la influencia de la cultura jurídica francesa en el pasado, empezando por el Código Napoleónico. El derecho francés forma parte del derecho continental y comparte principios y valores similares con muchos países europeos. Además, tiene fuertes vínculos con el derecho europeo, manifestados por procedimientos y técnicas comunes, pero también por la migración de conceptos jurídicos específicos. En la parte final del artículo, analizamos las estrategias recomendadas por las autoridades francesas para promover la lengua y el derecho franceses y frustrar, por un lado, la hegemonía del inglés como lengua franca del mundo globalizado y, por otro, la prevalencia del sistema anglosajón, que se ha vuelto cada vez más popular. Valores europeos como el multilingüismo y la diversidad ayudan a promover la lengua y el derecho franceses en el continente.	es
dc.description.abstract	Abstract: Our study focuses on the status of French law on the European legal market. French law has lost its leading role because of the dominance of English and the influence of the common law. To prove this hypothesis, we carry out a diachronic and a synchronic review and a contrastive analysis between French law and European law. Thus, we emphasize the influence of the French legal culture, starting with the Napoleonian Code. French law is part of continental law and has strong ties with the European law, manifested by common procedures and the migration of concepts. Therefore, continental law and European law may become privileged ways of promoting the French legal culture. European values such as multilingualism and diversity, but also the translation of French legislation, case law, and doctrine and the teaching of legal French, help to promote French language and law on the continent.	en
