Abstract
Coincidiendo con el 150 aniversario del nacimiento de Sigmund Freud, fundador del psicoanálisis, arqueólogo del inconsciente, descubridor de la sexualidad infantil y padre de la interpretación de los sueños, en este artículo se analizan sus principales aportaciones, su actualidad, su influencia en diferentes ámbitos del saber, de la cultura y de la vida, así como las huellas que ha dejado en algunos de los psicólogos más importantes del Siglo XX. Se aborda, por otra parte, el redescubrimiento del psicoanálisis por la neurociencia actual. Se estudian las relaciones entre psicoanálisis y educación. El artículo ofrece, finalmente, una síntesis de las principales críticas recibidas por el psicoanálisis, así como unas conclusiones, en las que el autor defiende, apoyándose en los últimos avances de las neurociencias, la vigencia de las principales aportaciones de Freud en la actualidad.
On the 150th anniversary of Sigmund Freud's birth, founder of Psychoanalysis, archaelogist of the mind, discoverer of child sexuality and father of the interpretation of dreams, this article analyses this main contributions, his topicality, his influence on different knowledge, culture and life spheres as well as his footprints on some of the most important psychologists of the 20th century. Further, the paper focuses on the resdiscovery of Psychoanalysis by current Neuroscience. It also analyses the relationship between Psychoanalysis and Education. Finally, it offers a synthesis of the main criticisms of Pscychoanalysis and some concluding remarks, in which the author -based on the last advances in neurosciences- defends the current validity of Freud's main contributions.
