Abstract
Este artículo describe los resultados de un estudio sobre la
afición a la lectura manifestada por los adolescentes de la
red social Tuenti. Para ello se analizan los perfiles editados
por trescientos usuarios comprendidos entre catorce y
dieciocho años y algunas de las páginas que se crean en
esta red para promocionar la obra de determinados autores.
La mayoría de la población adolescente usuaria de las redes
sociales muestra una actitud ante la lectura literaria que
oscila entre el silencio y el rechazo. Sin embargo, Tuenti es
una útil herramienta de promoción para los autores de éxito
entre los adolescentes.
This article describes the results of a study about the love of reading of adolescents who use the social network Tuenti. In order to do this, we analyze three hundred profiles created by users aged between fourteen and eighteen and some of the pages which are developed in this social network to promote some writers’ work. Most adolescents using the social networks show an attitude towards reading which goes from silence to rejection. However, Tuenti is a useful tool to promote the most successful writers among adolescents.
