Abstract
En el artículo se plantea la necesidad apremiante de la
formación del profesorado. Nadie está formado para
siempre. Y menos en la sociedad del conocimiento en la
que se multiplican, profundizan y diversifican los saberes sin
cesar. Y en la que se hacen más complejas y exigentes las
competencias necesarias para trabajar en una institución
tan problemática como la escuela. Se centra esa formación
en el desarrollo de la práctica profesional que realizan los
docentes en el centro escolar, entendido no sólo como
institución que enseña sino institución que aprende. Se
describen las características de esa práctica profesional y se
establecen las condiciones organizativas que hacen posible
el aprendizaje.
The article considers the urgent need for teacher training. No one is trained for ever, and less so in our learning society in which knowledge constantly increases, deepens and diversifies, and in which the competences needed to work in an institution as intricate as the school become more complex and demanding. This training concentrates on the professional development of teachers at a school, which is seen not only as an institution that teaches but also as a learning institution. The nature of the professional practice is described and the organizational conditions that enable learning are established.
