Abstract
En Percy Jackson y la batalla del laberinto de Rick Riordan se reelaboran y actualizan algunos de los elementos compositivos de la Nékyia del canto 11 de la Odisea. En el presente artículo realizamos un análisis comparativo sobre la manera en la que el autor ha adaptado, en los pasajes dedicados a las dos evocaciones realizadas por Nico (capítulos 5 y 10), la ambientación de la Nékyia homérica y algunos de sus motivos más característicos como el del temor del protagonista ante las almas, el rechazo de estas con la espada y el intento de abrazo del protagonista a un difunto querido. De esta manera se han conseguido acomodar elementos de la épica a una novela fantástica ambientada en la época moderna, lo que los hace más atractivos para el público joven al que va dirigida la obra.

In Percy Jackson and the Batle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan some of the compositional elements of the Nekyia of Odyssey 11 are reworked and updated. In this paper we present a comparative analysis of the way in which the author has adapted, in the passages devoted to the two summonings made by Nico (Chapters 5 and 10), the seting of Homer’s Nekyia and some of its most characteristic motifs such as the protagonist’s fear of the souls, the rejection of them with the sword and the atempted hug to a beloved deceased by the hero. In this way he has managed to accommodate elements of epic in a fantastic novel set in modern times, which makes them more appealing to the young audience the work is directed to.
