Abstract
The present study offers an approximation to the potential of the interactive documentary produced in a collaborative way to reflect the construction of identity discourses adapted to the demands of the changing contemporary world. In this sense, the essentialist approaches about subjectivity are left behind to give rise to the conceptions that accept its mutable, transitory and transversal nature. In the example of the collaborative documentary projects as A Moment on Earth, Life in a Day and One Day on Earth, aimed at portraying the plurality of ways of living on our planet and the universality of human experiences, we intend to show that the progressive increase in the interactivity that the mentioned works present helps to portray faithfully the prevailing formula of "transversal" self-definition.
