Abstract
La ausencia de registros sobre el número de personas expulsadas desde los puertos de Andalucía y Murcia ha complicado el estudio y valoración del destierro morisco y generado diversas hipótesis de trabajo en los últimos años. El presente estudio trata de reconstruir el embarque de los moriscos en el puerto de Cartagena y reflexionar sobre la cifra final de expulsados por este enclave a partir de las noticias recogidas por el comisario Diego Hurtado de Mendoza entre 1614 y 1616.
The absence of records on the number of people expelled from the ports of Andalusia and Murcia has complicated the study of the exile of the Moriscos and generated several different hypotheses in recent years. This study tries to reconstruct the shipment of the Moriscos in the port of Cartagena and debate the number of people expelled using the information collected by the commissary Diego Hurtado de Mendoza between 1614 and 1616.
