Abstract
Gracias a las grabaciones conocemos diferentes cantes que, por una u otra razón,
han recibido la denominación de cartageneras. El objetivo de nuestro trabajo es ofrecer
un amplio panorama de las diferentes modalidades de este estilo del flamenco,
indagando sobre sus posibles orígenes y viendo cómo algunas de ellas han evolucionado
hasta constituir los patrones melódicos que hoy día conocemos. Al tiempo que
resaltamos las peculiaridades musicales que las distinguen, conoceremos muchas de las
coplas con las que se han cantado, recogidas unas en cancioneros populares y
procedentes otras de los numerosos registros sonoros que hemos analizado.
Thanks to the recordings we know different songs th at, for one or another reason, have received the name of cartageneras. The purpose of our study is to offer a wide panorama of the different modalities of this flamen co style, researching on its possible origins and seeing how some of them have evolved to form the melodic types we know today. We will analyze their musical characteristic s and we will know many of the lyrics which have been sung.
