Abstract
Se pretende destacar la importancia de «Los Zapata», en el desarrollo de la ganadería en la zona del Mar Menor, de «Los Maestres» y «Barnuevo» en la captación de aguas subterráneas para la agricultura y el problema secular de la escasez de agua en el Campo de Cartagena, tanto para beber como para riego de sus campos sedientos.
The paper expect to emphasize the importance of «Los Zapata» in the develo-pment of the cattle farming in the region of «Mar Menor», of «Los Maestres» y «Barnuevo» in the fi ndings of subterranean waters for agriculture, and the age-old problem of the shortage in water in the Field of Cartagena, both for drinking and for the irrigation of its thirsty fi elds.
