Description
Abstract
The main objective of this lexicographical project, structured in the form of a comparative vocabulary, is to facilitate the availability of common Spanish words in Tagalog, Chabacano, Chamorro and Cebuano and to show lexical, phonological and semantic coincidences, convergences and divergences between these languages and Spanish. The construction of a parallel corpus of this type allows to analyze influences and interferences of Spanish with the languages in contact, as well as to appreciate the lexical richness of Peninsular and MexicanSpanish (especially the Pacific area, Acapulco) in an era in which both cultures were in contact.
