dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to analyse the most relevant specific traits of motherhood in francophone Antilles, through the study of the evoked vision of certain female writers. The characters of their narrative allow us to verify the intimate rela- tionship that is established between the particular conception of motherhood and the slavery past in its less known dimension. Resistance, infanticide, solitude, abandonment and broken family ties, are some of the aspects related to the subject of motherhood and the search for identity that emerge from the analysed works of fiction. Indeed, the mentioned aspects of the family structure, the position of women in relation to motherhood and the inherent complexities to the Antilles' society, to its past and its evolution, become a major source of female inspiration and differentiation.es
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de este estudio es analizar los rasgos especificos mas relevantes de la maternidad en las Antillas francofonas, a traves de la vision evocada por ciertas escritoras. Los personajes de su obra narrativa nos permiten constatar la intima relacion que se establece entre la concepcion particular de la maternidad y el pasado escla- vista en su dimension menos conocida. Resistencia, infanticidio, soledad, abandono y disolucion de los lazos familiares, son algunas de las caracteristicas relacionadas con el tema de la maternidad y de la busqueda de identidad que se desprenden de las ficciones analizadas. En efecto, estas particularidades de la estructura familiar, la posicion de la mujer frente a la maternidad, asi como de las complejidades inherentes a esta sociedad, a su pasado y a su evolucion, se convierten en una destacada fuente de inspiracion y de diferenciacion femeninas.  es
