Abstract
En una sociedad cada vez más cambiante, es necesario cuestionarse que aporta la educación y la orientación en el desarrollo organizativo de cualquier escenario educativo, social o productivo para redefinir el perfil y el rol del orientador. En la sociedad plural, heterogénea y cambiante del siglo XXI, la orientación tiene que ser mas flexible y comprensiva y el orientador ha de tener un rol de mediador, facilitador y provocador de cambios o transformaciones necesarias para el desarrollo íntegro de la persona y de la sociedad, reconvirtiéndose en un agente de cambio e innovación que facilita y promueve una orientación a lo largo y ancho de la vida, con todas las garantías de calidad y equidad.
In an ever‐changing society, it is necessary to question what provides education and guidance in the organizational development of any educational, social or productive setting and redefine the profile and role of counselor. In a pluralistic society, as heterogeneous and changing as it is, the guidance has to be more flexible and comprehensive. Furthermore, the counselor must play the role of mediator, facilitator and catalyst in the development of people and thus of society. He must become an agent of change and innovation to facilitate and promote a life with direction, quality and equity.
