dc.description.abstract	Guillermo Sucre, nacido en Venezuela en 1933, es considerado uno de los críticos más importan - tes de la poesía hispanoamericana del siglo XX, y sus libros Borges, el poeta (1967) y La máscara, la transparencia (1975) son referencias indispen - sables para el estudio de la poesía moderna del continente. En el presente artículo analizamos las constantes de la crítica literaria que Sucre publi - ca a partir de 1968, prestando especial atención a las implicaciones políticas de sus planteamientos estéticos.	es
