Abstract
Resumen: Este estudio pretende mostrar, desde una perspectiva sociolingüística, las tendencias del lenguaje de la mensajería instantánea. Desarrollado por las jóvenes generaciones, el objetivo es determinar hasta qué punto esta práctica lingüística es innovadora. Para ello, observamos las tipologías formales de la escritura SMS establecidas entre 2001 y 2017 por los investigadores en lingüística al tiempo que comprobamos que este modo de comunicación se inscribe dentro de ciertos comportamientos naturales del lenguaje humano.
