Description
Abstract
perspectivismo. A lo largo del artículo critico
posturas deficientes como son el relativismo, el
etnocentrismo, el positivismo, el culturalismo y la
beatería de la cultura.
In this article, I present the intercultural perspective based on José Ortega y Gasset’s doctrine of the point of view. Although Ortega does not use the term “intercultural” in his writings, I explain how it is possible to understand his perspectivism in intercultural terms. In addition to connecting it with the approaches of two of the main authors of the hermeneutical tradition such as Hans-Georg Gadamer and Charles Taylor, I highlight the intercultural dimension of his perspectivism. Throughout the article I critize deficient positions such as relativism, ethnocentrism, positivism, culturalism and the sanctimoniousness of culture.
