Abstract
Abstract In this article I deal again with the concept of democracy within the writings of Alexis de Tocqueville in order to analyze democracy as a problem. To elaborate this point I divide this text into three parts. Firstly, I examine the inconveniences of the discourse of deliberate democracy because I want to break up the existing link between the concept of liberalism and the concept of democracy. Secondly, I analyze the limits of the neoliberal discourse.. I also analyze the dangers of breaking up all possible links between liberalism and democracy. Finally, I consider the importance of thinking a indivual concept to take up again the concept of political freedom.
