Description
Abstract
Abstract: Silvia Baron Supervielle is a writer from Rio de la Plata who writes in French. She has com-bined in her life and in her art the hybridities bequeathed by her history and that of her ances-tors, especially in the field of languages linked to that of her homes, Argentina first, place of birth and then France, place of residence since 1961, because she mixes Spanish and French in her artistic and professional works to transla-te and to create respectively. The professional choice occurred through the discovery of a lan-guage whose musicality seduced her and which allowed her to find herself in a new space to create and (re)create herself as well as to put down roots in the city of Paris. The adoption of French also allowed him to experience freedom in the form of his writing. The brevity, intensity and visual effect of his poetry will be the sub-ject of this study.
