Abstract
Este artículo presenta la reescritura
de La República de Platón por parte de Alain
Badiou, en su propuesta de traducción de la
misma, mediante su propia terminología, al con-
texto político-cultural actual. Con la interpreta-
ción de este filósofo francés, se trata de mostrar
la posibilidad de considerar la presencia en el
pensamiento del autor griego de ideas propias del
Comunismo, entendido como nombre eterno de
la emancipación. Por otro lado, se señalan, de la
mano de la teoría feminista, los puntos ciegos de
la reivindicación de igualdad que realiza Badiou
basándose en dicho texto.
This paper presents Alain Badiou’s rewriting of The Republic of Plato, in its proposed translation to the current political-cultural context, by using his own terminology. With the interpretation of this French philosopher, we try to show the possibility of considering the presence of ideas proper to Communism —understood as the eternal name of emancipation— in the Greek author. On the other hand, we point out with the feminist theory the blind spots of Badiou’s claim of equality that he makes based on that text.
