Abstract
Este estudio forma parte de una investigación cuyo propósito es aportar evidencias acerca de las percepciones del estudiantado de la Universidad de Valencia respecto a la igualdad y la violencia de género. Se trata de un trabajo puli-meotodológico, que integra un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, a través del uso de un cuestionario escala y grupos de discusión. El fin es valorar la situación actual de estas dimensiones, estableciendo diferencias y semejanzas en función del sexo y el ámbito de conocimiento para comprender en profundidad el fenómeno. En este artículo se ha abordado un factor concreto: la figura del profesorado universitario, clave para lograr una iguadlad efecitva entre mujeres y hombres. De forma global los resultados han revelado que el alumnado percibe que su profesorado no esta preocupado o no valora las cuestiones relacionadas con la igualdad de género. También se han hallado diferencias en función del sexo y ámbito de conocimiento respecto a la figura del profesorado universitario y su labor respecto a estas dimensiones. El estudiantado universitario revela la necesidad de que su profesorado asuma responsabilidades e integre en su práctica docente, de forma real y efectiva, las cuestiones relativas a la igualdad de género.
This study is part of an investigation whose aim is to provide evidence about the perceptions of students of the University of Valencia with respect to equality and gender violence. It's a pluri- methodological work, which integrates a qualitative and quantitative, approach through the use of a scale-questionnaire and discussion groups. The aim is to assess the current situation of these dimensions, uncovering out differences and similarities according to sex and the field of knowledge to understand the phenomenon. This article is about a specific factor: the figure of the University teaching staff, key to achieving effective equality between women and men. In general, the results have revealed that students perceived that their teacher is not concerned or does not value issues related to gender equality. Differences according to sex and level of knowledge with respect to the figure of the University teaching staff and its work with respect to these dimensions have also been found. University students want that their teachers assume responsibilities and integrate into their practice, real and effective, gender equality issues.
