Abstract
En la actualidad, sigue siendo fundamental
el papel de la familia en el cuidado de las
personas mayores. Tanto en España como en el
resto de países de la Unión Europea se observa un
predominio femenino (hijas, esposas o nueras) en
la responsabilidad del cuidado, y se aprecian considerables
consecuencias negativas para el cuidador,
fundamentalmente en su salud, tanto física
como psíquica y social. Por ello creemos necesaria
una formación en Educación para la Salud en
los cuidadores de personas mayores, y el desarrollo
de medidas en relación a un beneficio económico,
accesibilidad a recursos sociosanitarios,
etc.
Abstract: Nowadays, it has fundamental importance the rol of the family group, in taking c<1re their old people. In Spain like in other countries of the U.E., it is seeing a continuous female responsability ( daughters, wifes, daughters-in-law) in that task, and it is observed considerable negative consequences to the caregiver, specially in their physical, psychical and social health. That is the reason due to we believe necessary a polite health educational program for !hose caregivers, and it is importan! to develop a set of measures related to their economical profit their accesibility to social and sanitary resources, etc.
