dc.description.abstract	En las últimas décadas del siglo XVIII la población esclavizada del Valle del Chota desarrolló un discurso de reivindicación de derechos que culminaron en lo que he llamado la creación de un sujeto político, desde su propia realidad, lenguaje y vinculado a su territorio ancestral. Es así que, tras la lectura archivística de las demandas judiciales que los afrochoteños emprendieron para esta época, en este artículo se va a analizar el repertorio cultural de rebeldía y libertad, entendidas como acciones políticas (huidas, enfrentamientos, juicios y violencia) que les permitieron desobedecer y sublevase contra la autoridad colonial. Podemos decir que, para inicios del siglo XIX, el Valle del Chota vivía en una independencia de facto.	es
dc.description.abstract	In the last decades of the 18th century, the enslaved population of Chota Valley developed a discourse claiming multiple rights. This culminated in what I have called the creation of a political subject, with its own language and strongly linked to its ancestral territory. Thus, after reading the lawsuits the afrochoteños made by these years, this article will analyze the political actions of rebellion and freedom, such as escapes, confrontations, trials and violent events that allowed the population of the valley to disobey and revolt against colonial authority. We can say that at beginning of 19th century, Chota Valley lived in de facto independence.	es
