Abstract
Isabella d’Este fue una mujer que, en pleno Renacimiento, supo ganarse el respecto
y la admiración de sus contemporáneos y el eco de su fama se mantuvo tan fuerte hasta llegar
inalterada hasta nuestros días. Fue una gran mecenas, la más relevante de su tiempo, por
su asidua búsqueda de piezas de arte antiguas o de valor, y por sus importantes encargos a
artistas de prestigio. Gracias al Inventario Stivini, redactado tres años después de su muerte
y conservado en el Archivo de Mantua, es posible conocer todas las piezas de arte que la
marquesa coleccionó a lo largo de su vida. Las piezas originales que han llegado hasta nosotros
son muy pocas, pero es posible con ulteriores estudios enriquecer ese pequeño catálogo,
reconociendo las obras todavía celadas.
Abstract: Isabella d’Este was a woman who, in the Renaissance, was able to win the respect and admiration of her contemporaries and the echo of her fame as strong remained unchanged until today. It was a great patroness, the most relevant of her time, thanks her assiduous pursuit of ancient artwork or value, and for her important commissions to artists of prestige. Thanks to Inventario Stivini, written three years after her death and preserved in the archives of Mantua, it is possible to know all the pieces of art that the Marquise collected throughout her life. The original pieces that have come to us are few, but it is possible, with a further studies, enrich this small catalogue, recognizing the traps still works.
