Description
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to improve our knowledge of the role played by the written code in learning a foreing language. A group of Castilian children were taught to recognize lists of English words. Five methods of presentation were used. Statistically significant differences were found between them. The presentation of the English written form was found to be, in general, more of a hindrance than a help for aural recognition.
