Description
Abstract
This article deals with the only two and a half litrai coin minted by Syracuse in all its history. It is about a silver coin around 2.20 grams of weight and minted in the third century BC which pr esents on the reverse a female figure with inflated veil who holds several iconographic elements in both hands. This figure presents difficulties when we try its identification, since there is no inscription which shows us which divinity is, so it has been identified traditionally as Isis
